Minecraft AI tools often mean a pile of separate apps, websites and installs. In Craftinator, they all live in one place: your own flying AI companion on a Minecraft server for Java and Bedrock Edition. You join with your normal Minecraft client, with no mods and no commands to learn, and you simply ask. This guide walks through every AI tool you get inside Craftinator: what it does, an example request and tips. Craftinator is in early access and not launched yet; if you want to be among the first players, join the early access.
How the Minecraft AI tools in Craftinator work
Every tool below runs through the same simple loop:
- You ask your companion for something.
- It understands the request with an AI language model and plans what to build or change.
- The server checks the plan: is it in your area, does it touch other players' builds, is the size sensible?
- The blocks, creatures or changes appear in the world, usually within seconds.
- You refine it: "make it taller", "use dark oak", "fewer windows".
Because the AI runs on the server, the tools work the same on PC, console or phone. For the bigger picture, see what an AI Minecraft server is.
Voice and text, in your language
What it does: you talk to your companion by voice or by typing in chat, in many languages. A player in Spain and a player in Texas can both just speak naturally.
Tips: talk like you would to a friend. Short, clear sentences work best.
The AI builder
What it does: turns a description into a real build in your world, from a garden shed to a castle, a bridge, a statue or a giant Death Star.
Build a cozy two-story cabin by the lake with a stone chimney, a porch and a small dock.
Tips:
- Name the size, style and materials: "small", "medieval", "spruce and cobblestone".
- Start simple, then add details in follow-up requests.
- Refine instead of starting over: "make the roof steeper" is faster than a whole new request.

The block, object and creature creator
What it does: invents things Minecraft doesn't have: new blocks, objects and creatures with their own properties, behavior and physics. You describe it in one sentence, and it's ready in seconds.
Create a glowing jelly block that bounces players twice as high and wobbles when you step on it.
Tips:
- Describe three things: how it looks, how it behaves and how it reacts to players, water, light or other mobs.
- Try it right away and ask for tweaks: "make it bounce less", "make the creature friendlier".
- Give your creation a name, so it's easy to talk about later.
The quest, story, dungeon and minigame maker
What it does: turns any idea into your own game: quests, stories, dungeons and minigames. You describe it, and the companion builds it with you, step by step.
Make a treasure hunt across my island with five clues hidden in chests, each clue a short rhyme that points to the next spot.
Tips:
- Explain the goal, the rules and how you win.
- Build in parts: the layout first, then challenges, rewards and story.
- Play it yourself, then ask for changes until it feels right.
Ideas for parkour, arenas, escape rooms and boss dungeons are in Minecraft AI minigames and dungeons.
The companion: a friend that talks, helps and remembers
What it does: your companion is more than a building tool. It answers questions, gives tips, tells stories and chats. It sees what's happening around you and reacts, and it remembers what you talked about, what you built and the moments you lived through together.
Tell me a spooky story about the old mine we found yesterday, and give me a tip for getting through it safely.
Tips:
- Ask "why" and "how" questions; it's an easy way to learn the game.
- Bring up past builds and adventures, since it remembers them.
- Keep personal info out of chat: no real names, addresses, schools or passwords.

Mob and world changes
What it does: changes the creatures and the world around you, from recoloring an animal to bringing a whole crowd of mobs to one spot.
Paint this chicken blue and drop 100 pigs right in the middle of the field.
Tips:
- Use words like "this", "here" or "next to my house" so the companion knows exactly what you mean.
- Be specific about numbers and places.
- Keep big changes in your own area. The server also checks for sensible sizes and other players' builds, so one request can't flood the whole world.
Saves, grief protection, economy and credits
These tools work in the background, so you can focus on playing.
Automatic saving
What it does: everything is saved automatically, in Craftinator's database, on server backups and, if you want, on your own Google Drive.
Tip: choose the Google Drive copy if you'd like an extra backup you control. For parents, it means a kid's weeks of work don't vanish.
Grief protection
What it does: what you create is yours. Other players can admire it, but they can't break, steal or change it.
Tip: invite friends to tour your builds without worrying. It also makes a big shared world calmer for younger players.
A stable economy
What it does: you can trade, earn and spend in an economy designed to stay balanced long-term, inside one giant shared world built to hold millions of players.
Tip: trade what you're good at making, and team up with friends on bigger projects.
Credits or your own AI key
What it does: the AI runs on Craftinator credits or on your own AI provider key (BYOK).
Tips:
- Credits are the simplest choice if you just want to play.
- A BYOK key is tied to a payment account, so treat it like a password. For kids, a parent should own and manage the key and keep an eye on spending.
Craftinator is built by Karel & Karel, a dad and his 13-year-old son who plays Minecraft every day and outgrew his own server with friends. Their goal is one world where all these tools come together for every player. If that sounds like your kind of game, join the early access.
Craftinator is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft.
FAQ
What Minecraft AI tools does Craftinator include?
Craftinator gives every player a flying AI companion that builds, invents new blocks and creatures, makes quests and minigames, changes mobs and chats with you. Automatic saving, grief protection, a stable economy and a choice of credits or your own key round it out.
Do I need mods or commands to use them?
No. You join Craftinator with your normal Minecraft client on Java or Bedrock and talk to your companion by voice or chat, in many languages.
Can the AI tools damage other players' builds?
No. The server checks every request against your area and other players' builds, and grief protection means others can admire your creations but not break, steal or change them.
Is Craftinator available now?
Not yet. Craftinator is in early access sign-up, and you can join the waiting list to hear when it opens.
Is BYOK safe for kids?
It can be, if a parent owns and manages the key and its spending. Kids who just want to play can use Craftinator credits instead.
